Arts Ed Newark is a sector builder and connector, elevating the field as a whole by helping partners bring access to arts education in Newark to scale. This vision is supported by our online Program Guide which allows our partners to publicize their programs for teachers, students of all ages, families, and artists to the Newark community.

PRISM Club
Join the PRISM Club to create glass art in a safe space for diversity, inclusion and creative energy! PRISM Club meets weekly to explore glassmaking techniques including glassblowing, flameworking, jewelry-making and design, mosaics, stained glass and more. Facilitated conversations and workshops, led by our partner mental health providers, will also be integrated into the sessions. Experience the magic of fire and glass, and build community at the same time!
The PRISM Club is open to all LGBTQ+ youth, ages 14-26
Preference will be given to BIPOC-identifying youth living in Newark
No previous glassmaking or design experience necessary.

This program is open to all area high school students. Classes are on-site in our Newark studios. Students must attend and participate consistently to remain in the program.

Trash Percussion (Bucket Drumming)
Compose exciting rhythms out of recycled materials, plastic buckets, and trash cans of various sizes. Participants will create a full percussion ensemble using these common household materials.

NextGen: Glassblowing Apprentice Program
Program Details
This apprenticeship may fulfill an academic service learning or community service requirement. Preference will be given to BIPOC-identifying youth living in Newark. Limited to 8 students per semester. Registration required.

Kids Summer Theatre Camp
Write and perform an original play in a week! Each week is a brand new adventure, as campers explore improvisation, acting, theatre games, collaborative storytelling, and playwriting to create a unique performance!
Join us for a fun-filled theatre camp for incoming Grades 2-5! Sign up for one week or several. Luna Theatre Camp counselors are professional theatre artists who can't wait to support your kids in inspired imaginings. Each section has one lead teacher and one assistant.
